8 Days Lemosho Route Kilimanjaro Climb
Day 0 – Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport
Transfer to Planet Lodge B&B. Meet the head guide for briefing and gear check. Overnight at hotel.
Day 1 – Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa | 6 km / 4 miles | 3-4 HRS | Rainforest
Elevation: 7,742 ft → 9,498 ft
Drive to trailhead and begin hiking through an undisturbed forest to first campsite. Overnight at Mti Mkubwa.
Day 2 – Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp | 8 km / 5 miles | 5-6 HRS | Heath
Elevation: 9,498 ft → 11,500 ft
Exit rainforest into savannah and heather slopes. Reach Shira 1 Camp with first glimpse of Kibo. Overnight at Shira 1.
Day 3 – Shira 1 Camp to Moir Hut | 11 km / 7 miles | 5-7 HRS | Heath
Elevation: 11,500 ft → 13,800 ft
Explore Shira Plateau, then divert to Moir Hut for acclimatization walks. Overnight at Moir Hut.
Day 4 – Moir Hut to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp | 7 km + 3 km | 4-5 HRS + 2-3 HRS | Alpine Desert
Elevation: 13,800 ft → 15,190 ft → 13,044 ft
Climb to Lava Tower, then descend to Barranco Camp through Senecio Forest. Important acclimatization day.
Day 5 – Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp | 5 km / 3 miles | 4-5 HRS | Alpine Desert
Elevation: 13,044 ft → 13,106 ft
Ascend the Great Barranco Wall and traverse hills to Karanga Camp. Shorter day for acclimatization. Overnight at Karanga.
Day 6 – Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp | 4 km / 2 miles | 4-5 HRS | Alpine Desert
Elevation: 13,106 ft → 15,331 ft
Reach Barafu Camp at rocky section of Southern Circuit. Rest and early dinner to prepare for summit night.
Day 7 – Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp | 5 km ascent / 12 km descent | 7-8 HRS up | 4-6 HRS down | Arctic / Rainforest
Elevation: 15,331 ft → 19,341 ft → 10,065 ft
Midnight departure to summit. Watch sunrise at Stella Point, reach Uhuru Peak, then descend via Barafu to Mweka Camp. Overnight at Mweka.
Day 8 – Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
Elevation: 10,065 ft → 5,380 ft
Final descent to Mweka Gate and collect certificates. Transfer back to hotel in Arusha/Moshi. End of trek or transfer to safari/Zanzibar.

Climb the Rift Wall while enjoying panoramic views of the green oasis below.
Manyara Walk & Bike
Cycle or walk around Lake Manyara, spotting wildlife and beautiful landscapes.
Village Cultural Tour
Visit local farms, wood-carvers, and banana beer makers for an authentic experience.
Miwaleni Waterfall Hike
Hike to Miwaleni Waterfall and swim in the refreshing pool beneath the falls.
